Anyone who thinks that the Providence River's blue expanses of water look ideal for boating might take a look at the river as the first day of Spring approaches. The solstice brings about seasonal extreme tides.
The early-afternoon low tide on Wednesday the 18th bared sand bars and provided dry land footing for the sea birds. On the 21st, we'll see the most extreme highs and lows, as forecast by the USHarbors website, here.
