Iway City Streets West, Providence

Narrowing of city streets is anticipated weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dyer Street (between Ship and Friendship Streets), Friendship Street and Richmond Street (from Ship to Clifford Streets) and Chestnut Street (between Pine and Clifford Streets) will be narrowed for utility construction. We anticipate completing our new electrical conduit installation on Richmond Street near Ship Street. We will install drainage on Dyer Street, and replace curbing and sidewalks on portions of Friendship, Dyer, Richmond and Chestnut Streets. We're continuing to construct new electrical systems for the area's future traffic signals.

Iway City Streets East, Providence

Anticipate narrowed lanes on South Main, South Water and Wickenden Streets and a lane closure on South Main and Wickenden Streets weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A change in the traffic pattern is anticipated to begin on South Main Street, from Wickenden Street to James Street, on Tuesday. Travel lanes will shift to the left side of the roadway to run along the newly-constructed sidewalks. This change is scheduled to last through Spring 2015. We will excavate Wickenden Street for new drainage lines, signal foundations and electrical conduit. Paving is scheduled to take place on Tuesday on South Main Street and South Water Street.
